Obituary for Robert D Keckler

Robert D. Keckler age 93 of Plattsmouth passed away Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 in Syracuse.
He was born on a farm west of Weeping Water on May 16, 1924 to Ralph L. and Virginia (Harnsberger) Keckler.
Graduated from Weeping Water High School in the Class of 1943 then attended the University of Nebraska for Three years. He taught school in Weeping Water for one year during World War II on an emergency certificate.
Bob attended school at Los Angeles County General Hospital and became a graduate nurse in the class of 1950.
Registered to practice nursing in California and Nebraska. He then worked for the veteran's administration hospitals in
Los Angeles and Omaha for two years before attending anesthesia school for nurses at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis MO.
Bob then became a member of the staff of the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in the Anesthesia Department from May 16, 1954 to May 31, 1984
a member of First Congregational Church, 70+ year member of Euclid Lodge #97 and Elizabeth Chapter #250 of the Eastern Star both in Weeping Water a member of York rite bodies of masonery in Omaha.
He was preceded in death by His parents, Sisters Catherine Keckler and Mary (Charles) Philpot: A Brother Richard W. Keckler; nieces and nephews.
Robert is survived by a Niece-in-Law Margaret Keckler
Great niece Kristine (Ray) Foster; Great nephews Michael (Tiffani) Keckler , Tracy (Joni) Keckler
many Great Great Nieces and Nephews and a Great Great Nephew

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Nebraska Masonic Home Chapel 1300 Aveune D Plattsmouth, NE 68048,interment at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery
