Darlene Edna (Stites) Chepil age 73 of Pierce, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Premier Estates in Pierce, Nebraska. She was born October 2, 1944 in Herington, Kansas to Darby and Edna (Anderson) Stites. She attended grade school in Ramona, Kansas and high school in Hope, Kansas. Darlene was a graduate of Manhattan Bible College, Manhattan, Kansas and Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister (Beverly Ann) and a brother.
She is survived by a son Christopher Chepil of Austin, Texas; a daughter Yolanda (Chepil) Tanner and granddaughter, Ashton Tanner of Herreid, South Dakota; a brother Ray D. (Merelyn) Stites; and nephews Ross (Shannon) Stites and Britain ( Mica) Stites. A memorial service will be December 2, 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, Abilene, Kansas and inurnment at Ashton Cemetery, Hope, Kansas at a later date.
