Obituary for Dixie Lee "Leigh" Hanson

Born in Nebraska City, NE September 11, 1950. Passed away on April 20, 2017,in Los Angeles, CA.
Graduated from Weeping Water High School. Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Moving to Los Angeles, CA in 1977 where she studied and obtained a degree in acupuncture, and has worked at Pircher, Nichols and Meeks Law Firm as a legal Secretary for the past fourteen years.
Dixie had a big personality and a great sense of humor. She loved to tell stories with a dramatic flair. She also loved to sing and dance. Last summer she went to a Conan O’Brien show and was selected, along with a few other audience members, to come on stage and dance a crazy dance. She gave quite a performance and won that crazy dance off.
Dixie was known for being kind and generous. She was a great, fun friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by Step-mother Betty Hanson of Weeping Water
Two Brothers Steve and wife Cathy Hanson of Weeping Water; Larry and wife Lani Hanson of Weeping Water, Two Sisters Julie and Husband Ray Noffsinger of Sibley Missouri; Diane Panko of Burr, NE, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Beryl Hanson and Betty (Thoms) Jacobson; and one Brother Wayne Hanson.
