Uel Gordon "U.G." Stoner, 80, of Bella Vista, AR, Formerly Weeping Water died Peacefully Friday, November 25th, in Fayetteville, AR.
Uel was born in Watson, Missouri on September 7, 1936, to Minnie Cora (Howard) and Gilbert Oral Stoner.
U.G. served in the U.S. army during the Vietnam War stationed in Abilene Tx.
He worked at Keckler Oil in Weeping Water and then drove a Fuel Transport for Rite Way for 26 years
He married Ruth Ann Hermann in Weeping Water on August 17,1958 at St. Paul Lutheran church they made their home in Weeping Water, later moving to Abilene Texas; Columbia Missouri back to Weeping Water before finally moving to Bella Vista AR in 1996 where he was living at the time of his death
U.G. was an avid golfer he enjoyed bowling and watching his favorite sports teams.
He is survived by by a sister Esther Devault of Graham MO. Brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, several nieces, nephews and friends
He was preceded in death by His parents, Wife Ruth, a Sister Betty Ramona Beck and a brother Jack Stoner.
Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 1st, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Weeping Water, NE, with John Cotton officiating.
A visitation will be Wednesday 1-6 p.m. at Hammons Funeral Services Weeping Water
Interment at Avoca Cemetery Avoca, NE. Memorials suggested to the Church.
